Helios House

Embracing the paradox with every aspect of Helios House, a living lab for sustainability and energy efficiency was at the heart of the experience. This strategic platform builds on the iconic BP message of, “a little better.” Design, architecture, and content were developed in concert to tell the story. All with the charge from the client to have no advertising and no bad food. A dream come true!

The one-of-a-kind site was developed as a place where credible sustainable NGOs can share helpful tips encourage guests to do their part to be a little better. Biodegradable flower-growing postcards, a gallery-like experience, a tricked out bathroom like no other gas station, a Green Team to answer questions, and videos at the dispensers with simple ways to make a difference at home and on the road.

What normally is considered a dirty and unhappy 2–3 three minute visit extended to 15–20 minute guest experiences with tours from the Green Team.
